Lead Material Handler, 1st Shift
Lead Material Handler What Material Handling contributes to Cardinal Health Uses a variety of equipment such as forklifts, conveyors, cranes, handcarts, and power trucks to move materials, parts, assemblies and finished products or goods within a plant, office or warehouse. May maintain records. Schedule: Monday through Friday, 6:30am to 2:00pm (overtime per business needs, weekends) Responsibilities - Picking, packing, inbound function, wrapping pallets, SPA proficient user, perform warehouse duties as needed
- Operate machinery such as forklifts, reach truck, swing reach truck, cherry pickers, and pallet jacks
- Using an RF scanner
- Support the supervisor in leading the teams efforts in adhering to all government (OSHA, DEA, SBOP, FDA) regulations as well as safety, security and cleanliness of the warehouse
- Ensures that Cardinal Healths principles, policies and procedures are consistently practiced
- Handles general employee inquiries and solves problems
- Maintains positive employee relations; promotes team environment and facilitates process improvement
- Work closely with other leads and supervisors within the facility to promote teamwork
- Plan daily workload and assignments
- Lead safety and quality discussions while maintaining productivity
- Ability to work at other CAH buildings as needed
Qualifications - Excellent interpersonal, organizational and follow up skills required
- 4+ years experience preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft office
- Strong written communication skills and attention to detail
- Strong leadership skills are essential

- Works with minimal degree of supervision. Has latitude to make decisions in exceptional circumstances within established guidelines
- Provides guidance to less experienced team members
- May have team leader responsibilities but does not formally supervise
