Description The Office of Research & Strategic Partnerships (ORSP) seeks a Partnerships Program Coordinator for a two-year, grant-funded position. ORSP works out of various locations including Pratt's Main Campus in Brooklyn, Pratt's Manhattan Campus, and Pratt's Research Yard at the Brooklyn Navy Yard. This position will be primarily based at Pratt's Research Yard. This is a hybrid position with 2-3 days in person expected, and occasional local travel for meetings with external partners.
The Partnerships Program Coordinator will assist in the day-to-day coordination of the Partnerships unit in the Office for Research & Strategic Partnerships. The Partnerships Program Coordinator will provide support for ORSP's portfolio of large, long-term external partnerships with government and industry partners, including, but not limited to, partner coordination and communication; and project coordination and tracking.
Reporting to the Senior Associate Director of Strategic Partnerships, the Partnerships Program Coordinator will be responsible for supporting program and project development and implementation, including coordination of program and project activities associated with external partnerships, communication with internal and external points of contact, and coordination with other members of the Office of Research & Strategic Partnerships and with other divisions and units at Pratt on existing and potential partnerships.
Examples of Duties
- Coordinate with external partnership and project team members including faculty, consultants, and external points of contact including scheduling meetings, sharing follow-ups and next steps, coordinating reviews of materials, incorporating feedback, and ensuring deliverables are filed and shared appropriately;
- Coordinate input from leadership, external partners, and other stakeholders and share feedback with program and project teams as program and project scopes of work are refined, ensuring alignment with external partner and Institute requirements and goals;
- Support in the development of project schedules and milestones and track project progress, ensuring project team members meet deadlines and deliverable requirements;
- Support in the development of program and project documents including scopes of work;
- Coordinate and support to ensure reporting requirements are met where applicable, including compiling information from project and program teams for periodic and milestone reports to partners and to Institute leadership;
- Coordinate and staff regular meetings with program and project teams, the Office of Research & Strategic Partnerships, and other Pratt units as needed;
- Prospecting for funding sources to support projects and partnerships.
Qualifications Education:
- Undergraduate degree required, graduate degree preferred or experience in a related field.
Experience: - Minimum 3-5 years experience in program and project management in the public, non-profit, or private sector;
- Experience with partnership development and relationship management in academic, non-profit, industry, or government agency environments.
Skills:- Outstanding organizational skills;
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adjust tone based on audience;
- Confident managing multiple project timelines simultaneously, tracking deadlines, and making adjustments based on input;
- Ability to work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all levels of faculty, staff, external partners, and leadership;
- Ability to work independently and in close coordination with multiple internal and external stakeholders;
- Proficiency with Google Workspace and Asana for project management and collaboration; CRM experience preferred or demonstrated ability to quickly learn new software systems;
- Background in architectural design and construction is a plus, but is not required.
