The Sr Value Stream Manager is responsible for every aspect of the manufacturing area - from hiring, training, developing, and managing the people, developing and executing a production plan, implementing and improving the processes, to maximizing results against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs including Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost). This role will oversee an end-to-end manufacturing operation within the Hauppauge, NY plant. This position reports to the Plant Director and is part of the Site Operations Leadership Team located in Hauppauge, NY and will be an on-site role. What you will do: - Responsible for the safety and well-being of the associates in our production areas.
- Develop and uphold performance metrics for all areas of responsibility. Guide teams in attaining Value Stream, Site-specific, and Corporate KPIs, and foster continuous improvement by implementing Danaher Business System tools.
- Confirm quality is evident in daily work delivering high quality product that meets all customer and quality specifications. Ensure the team works according to regulatory guidelines - providing coaching as necessary to earn and retain ISO and other regulatory certifications.
- Integrate cross-functional resources to modernize facilities, equipment, and material flow to enhance capacity, efficiency, and profitability and Engage with the leadership of other functions to formulate plans and strategies for enhancing the safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and productivity (SQDIP) performance of the designated Value Stream.
- Accountable for Production Schedule Attainment and On-Time Delivery (OTD) requirements. Problem solves for OTD misses owning or assisting from problem definition, root cause investigation, try storming countermeasures through sustaining countermeasures
- Interact daily with functional resources including manufacturing engineering, quality engineering, product engineering, R&D, material control, and quality control to ensure production requirements are met.
- Plan daily operations, optimize the utilization of skills, available work hours, material and work flow to assure timely production within acceptable quality standards.
Who you are: - Bachelors degree required in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Management (Engineering preferred - Chemical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial or Materials Science)
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a manufacturing environment including involvement and knowledge of operations, supply chain, quality, planning, receiving, shipping, and material flow
- Minimum of two (2) years of leadership experience in Manufacturing/Operations environments
- Basic knowledge of financial practices in an operations/manufacturing environment and familiarity leading and facilitating lean manufacturing Kaizen events and projects (Daily Management, Value Stream Mapping, SMED, Standard Work, etc.)
- Computer literacy MS Office (Outlook, Excel, etc.) & ERP Systems (SAP a plus)
- Strong analytical skills, e.g. use of Structured Problem Solving methodologies, Statistics, Statistical Process Control (SPC), Design of Experiments (DOE).
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: - Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 40lb
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: - Biopharmaceutical/Biotechnology manufacturing environments
- Use and competency in Quality Management Systems (Veeva a plus)

The annual salary range for this role is $135,000 - $155,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future. This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
